Switching focus
Whilst prominence is usually given to the men in Bacon’s life, private gallery Ordovas is shaking things up. Their new exhibition explores the artist’s long-lasting relationships with women. He did paint more female than male nudes, after all.
From images of fellow artist Isabel Rawthorne to model Henrietta Moraes, Artimage worked closely with both Ordovas and The Estate of Francis Bacon to ensure that the finished catalogue was as beautiful as could be (not to mention securing all the necessary rights and permissions).
The licensing fees we collect always go back to the artist or estate.

Behind every great man…
You guessed it, there’s a great woman. Or in this case, three.
Alongside the three women that Bacon loved to paint: Muriel Belcher, Henrietta Moraes and Isabel Rawsthorne, who together are the subjects of forty-six paintings, the exhibition also features photographs taken by John Deakin, who Bacon commissioned for the starting point of many of his portraits.
Bacon’s Women is open at Ordovas until 11 January 2019.
